Looking back

Part of my job requires me to look up several scientific publications and use information from them to actually do my new job. While I was perusing some, I started looking for the pending publications we had submitted when I was in my old lab. To my delight, I didn't see any new ones. My objection to my name being removed from probably the most significant paper of my career seemed to have worked...for now anyway. That was February, and it's now May. It was submitted in January. I also went back through some emails I saved of all the crap that went down. It is pretty amazing what physiological and psychological "symptoms" come up just by reading some of those charged emails. I'm so thankful that that period of my life is over and I'm much happier now. In fact, I'm so happy that I really can't seem to post anything on here of interest anymore since I no longer have the drama in my life I once had. This is a good thing! I like being low-key much better. I told Melissa that I just love coming home at 5-5:30, not having to make a 30 minute drive anymore, getting massages twice a month at work, and doing something I like without all the stress I once had. I also get to play more golf than I ever have...thanks Rob and Jereme! Having said all that, it's only appropriate that our community group start reading The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg. Best of all, we only have four more months until our wedding. Hopefully, I can get all the things I need to get done off my list this week. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...taste and see that the LORD is good!
