Syria's asking for it...
The news today is reporting that a new Syrian terror group is planting bombs at the border in the Golan Heights in an attempt to get Israel to withdraw from that area. They are also reporting that Syria is planning to use biological weapons if Iran is attacked, hiding them in their commercial pharmaceutical businesses and veterinary vaccine research facilities. They have been working with orthopox and cryptospiridium, specifically.
If Syria has the gall to use one WMD against Israel, it's all over for them.
Isaiah 17:1: The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
Damascus is considered by most historians to be the oldest continuously-inhabited city. If we look at Isaiah's prophecy above, the news of today doesn't bode well that it will remain that way. See also Jeremiah 49:23-27, Amos 1:3-5, and Zechariah 9:1.
Now, look at these newsworthy events in the context of Ezekiel 38-39. Israel is understandably aggravated with Russia for arming Syria with advanced missiles, thereby encouraging Damascus to prepare for war. Russia warned the U.S. against attacking Iran. In addition, another prophesied end-times player has appeared in the news. Iran's nutjob president made a state visit to Sudan (part of Cush), saying "the Zionists are the true manifestation of Satan." It's simply stunning that people listen to this guy!
I haven't written in a long time, but I've certainly been keeping up with what's going on. It's almost like it's all coming together in very slow motion. These are exciting times, but, man, it's gonna get mad violent this year! Let me be blunt. Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, believes the end of the world is just a few years away and that it is his mission to bring it about. Deterrence, therefore, will not work. Negotiations are not working. And the time to foment a popular uprising to overthrow Ahmadinejad and the mullahs before they go nuclear is rapidly running out. It only makes sense that war is what they want and will intricately bring it about between Israel and the other Islamic nations who want to see Israel destroyed. Sorry y'all...it ain't gonna happen!
