After a nice, long Thanksgiving break, it's back to reality tomorrow. Thanksgiving was pretty uneventful with much food consumed and a few naps in between. My grandmother had a touch of pneumonia while we were there but seemed ok as long as the hydrocodone and antibiotics were working. Yesterday, she was put in ICU for complications. Keep her in your prayers for all you praying people out there...thanks!
UT decided they would actually win a football game this weekend, defeating KY 27-8. No bowl bid this year, but with David Cutcliffe returning as offensive coordinator, hopefully Erik Ainge can learn how to run an offense next year. Who knows, we might even see a "www.firephil.com" site go up after this year's piss-poor performance! Next week, LSU will play Georgia for the SEC championship title...should be a goody!
Congratulations to the University of Memphis on a fine basketball performance this week in the NIT tournament at Madison Square Garden in NYC. They nearly defeated #1 Duke on Friday. The Tigers led most of the game, narrowly losing by 3 points. This year's team looks very promising.
