Probably over everyone's head, but I gotta tell it!

As I was having dinner with Melissa tonight, I was discussing the recent Usama bin Laden tape and Ahmadinejad's rejection of the U.N. nuke deadline (surprise, surprise). I told her I needed to blog since I was fired up about all that's happening with Russia enriching uranium for Iran, sending them missiles, flying jets into our airspace undetected, and warning us against threatening Iran with sanctions or force. I've been writing about this stuff since October because I do happen to believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God and that Ezekiel 38 will play out soon. When Melissa seemed unfazed by what I was saying, I then asked myself is anybody listening to me when I do write? But then again, and more importantly, is anybody listening to God? Specifically, Jesus warned, "Take ye heed, watch and pray; for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch" (Mark 13:33-37). Are we as Christians too apathetic to care about those who don't realize what's happening? I would feel terrible if I didn't at least try to tell of God's love before the tribulation begins. I'd love to see a segment on the news about this stuff, but you know that will never happen. That is until God saves Israel from being destroyed by the invading armies around it. I don't believe anything good is going to happen in the coming months for the United States. I hate to be a pessimist, but we're in a Catch -22 with Iran.

(From RaptureReady.com) "If President Ahmadinejad really is the religious zealot he appears to be, then for him bringing the world to the brink of disaster is a matter of religious integrity. It's the fulfillment of his calling, an act of obedience to his god. No amount of negotiation, appeasement or compromise will deter him. And if that's true, it's well past time for the rest of us to realize that no strategy of man can prevail against him. If the US or Israel launches a pre-emptive attack, he's won. If we give in to his demands, he'll just keep upping the ante until someone does strike. His goal is chaos, and anything short of that means failing his god. As Christians we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). The world is not used to thinking in these terms, but in this next few months we may well see a lot more than just a test of will between two powerful nations. We just might be witnessing the run-up to war in the heavenlies."

It's all in God's hands and we all get to sit back and watch His plan for us, the Islamic nations, and Israel unfold in a mind-boggling way. You can find me on my knees in prayer and most likely glued to a TV if we're still here.
